  1. How can I get an account on BoB?

  2. How do I connect to BoB?
    Due to ongoing security concerns, BoB accepts connections via SSH only. Additionally, machines may only connect to BoB if they are on a list of allowed research group computers. To have your machine added to this list, contact J.C..
  3. Who sets policy for using BoB?
    There is a committee composed of the original six PIs on the BoB grant (Barabási, Gezelter, Maginn, Mathews, Stadtherr, and Wiest) plus one person (Kathie Newman) who represents the interests of the other people using the cluster.
  4. Can I have more disk space? Can BoB run expensive commercial software? Can I have a larger share of the cycles on BoB?
    Talk to the committee in charge of setting policy. Don't bug J.C. with these requests.
